There are 4 elements that contribute to the pricing of Diamonds.
- Color (The grade of color tint visible within the stone)
- Clarity (The grade of visible inlcusions within the stone)
- Cut (The proportions of the diamond cut)
- Carat (The weight of the stone in total)
Although there is no specific order of importance to follow with the 4C's, it is good to have in mind what is more important for you. Does size matter, does sparkle matter or does color matter?
Once you have determined which "C" is most important, the remaining "Cs" will be your negotiating factors. At this point, you have customized your diamond price range.
